Heyy Reader,
I've been thinking a lot about business and who I'm talking to and that got me wondering...
My email list has changed a lot over the last 3-4 years and I'm working, Reader, where you're at in your business right now?
Can you answer this quick poll for me so I can better tailor my content to you?
And if there's anything specific you'd like me to talk about in upcoming newsletters, please hit reply and let me know! I'm always looking to figure out what's best for you!
🤝 SPONSOR: YOUR FREEBIE OR PAID OFFER HERE
EVER CONSIDERED SPONSORING A NEWSLETTER?
These are the stats for this email list as of 3/21/25. Timestamp in upper right corner.
This year my goal was to increase my collaboration efforts. I'm sure you've seen the podcasts and summits I've been in!
Another way I wanted to do that was by doing a newsletter sponsor spot.
If you're thinking about it, you can see the image above with my current stats. I cold scrubbed the list on 3/18 and took off about 200 people, so I do expect these rates to improve quite a bit. There are currently 756 people on my list.
Currently, I'm offering newsletter sponsorships to anyone who wants to promote a free or paid offer. My audience is largely solopreneurs and small business owners. After you complete the Google Form, if I decide to move forward with your sponsorship (I would only deny if it goes against my core values), then I'll send you an invoice for $27 and we'll get it scheduled!
Click the button to secure your spot! I've got openings right now starting at the end of April.
If you're interested in a different form of collaboration, reach out! I'm always open to hearing ideas :)
BOHANNON VIRTUAL SOLUTIONS REFERRAL PARTNERSHIP
WANNA BE REFERRAL PARTNERS?
I'm looking for people to be referral partners with Bohannon Virtual Solutions.
This REQUIRES A MONTHLY EMAIL AND A CONTRACT.
Basically, each month you'll refer me and I'll refer you.
If someone from your email list signs up for my services, you'll get a monthly cut between 5% & 8% depending on the service (it's all laid out in the contract).
If you think you might be interested, click the button to learn more or send me an email with your questions.
Ever feel like tech is the one thing standing between you and scaling your business?
I get it…which is exactly why I’m speaking at the Simple Tech Automation Summit! I’ll be sharing about creating simple systems for maximum impact. Plus you’ll hear from other experts on how to simplify, streamline and automate your business without the stress.
As your business grows and evolves, you'll find that those SOPs are not keeping up with your business. Sometimes it's just little tweaks here and there you need to make and sometimes you've got to completely redo your SOPs.
What is the best way to keep up with such a task? Especially if you have MANY SOPs?
I recommend creating a recurring task in your project management tool so that once a quarter you have to go through your SOPs and make sure they're up-to-date and accurate.
While that sounds super tedious, the worst part is setting it up in the beginning.
My team and I house everything, including our SOPs, in ClickUp.
So every time I create a new SOP, I set up a recurring task for it to be reviewed every 3 months from the date we created it because you can create a task right from/to the document itself. Then, every 3 months, I'm reminded to review the SOP and make sure nothing is missing (this is super easy to delegate out to the right team members if needed).
THE ONE HOUR WIN
IDENTIFY YOUR PEAK PRODUCTIVITY TIME
I don't know if it's because I have ADHD or because I'm chronically tired (a symptom of ADHD lol), but I have no problem identifying my peak productivity time. For me, it's first thing in the morning. If I want to get something done, it HAS to be in the morning. Afternoons are completely unpredictable.
But if you aren't quite sure of your peak productivity time, take an hour to journal about your day or look at any data you have to find the time of day you perform the best.
If you're still struggling, there are several tools out there that will actually collect the data for you! Click here for one example (not an affiliate--just got from a quick Google Search--so I'm not necessarily recommending rather than making you aware that these tools exist).
Once you identify your peak productivity time, take an hour this week or next to plan out your high priority tasks for the week during your peak productivity time to make sure they get done and get done when you have the most energy.
DELEGATION INSPIRATION
ALL ABOUT CONTROL
Over the past several years, I've worked with a lot of business owners.
There are two main issues I see when it comes to relationships between business owners and service providers:
The business owner is not clear on what they need and makes the wrong type of hire.
The business owner is afraid to lose control of their business and that affects the relationship. A lot of times, this comes in the form of micromanaging.
So if you're afraid of losing control of your business, what do you do?
First of all, take a deep breath and remind yourself that your business needs you. It literally would not exist if it weren't for you. Write that down if you need to.
Secondly, you've hired someone to help you. Is it really helping if you can't trust them? Make sure you've hired someone you can truly trust.
This may take some mindset work and sometimes takes some trial and error.
One last thing that is helpful is delegating small, non-business threatening tasks first. Like research or social media. Things you need done, but won't break your business if there's a mistake.
TIME FOR WHAT YOU LOVE
GET INTO A STATE OF FLOW
When did you last lose track of time?
If we're really out here building sustainable businesses, does it do any good if we don't do something that allows us to lose track of time every now and again?
For me, it's reading a book or snuggling with my dog, Penelope.
What makes you lose track of time?
It's the end of the month and Q1 is over. I'm working on setting new goals for Q2. What goals are you setting for Q2? Hit reply and let me know.
For $27, I'll put your free or paid offer in my weekly email newsletter. Together we will pick the perfect day to send your offer to my list. It's the perfect way to grow your own list!
