This weekend in the U.S., we have a HUGE winter storm that's about to hit the entire East Coast, including my little part of the south. My kids are excited and hoping for snow, but I keep telling them we are not getting snow. We are getting ice.
The thing is, this part of Mississippi doesn't get snow or ice or cold much. And people are frantic. I thought I was bad being from Kentucky where we don't get a lot of snow either, but we certainly get more than this.
The amount of ice we're expecting will likely cause the majority of us to lose power for multiple days if not weeks. And they have no idea what to do. And while I totally get it's not something they have to do often (no one under 40 at my husband's job can remember a threat this big), if they had SOPs in place for events like this (the transportation department and landscaping companies like my husband's), it would solve a lot of problems.

WHAT IS AN SOP BANK?
An SOP Bank, often called an SOP library, is a collection of your SOPs. It includes how they are organized, where they are organized, and everything else you need to easily create and find your SOPs.
This is different from my term, SOP Hub. An SOP Hub is where you'll manage your SOPs, keep track of which ones need to be written, which ones have already been written, which ones need to be reviewed, and how often to review each SOP.
