I totally get it. I've been running this email list for almost 3 years and some people have been on it THAT LONG. (Wow! Ya'll dedicated.)
If you've been here a while, you know one of my core values is that there's always something new to learn (I mean, I WAS a teacher...).
And recently, I've been learning what works and what doesn't for email marketing.
And it's clear, while you may have been someone who LOVED my emails, they weren't really working.
So, I'm experimenting and listening to the experts to find out why.

Can I be honest with you a second? Until about 2 weeks ago, I didn't know what a personal brand was. It is this phrase that's thrown around our world all the damn time, like so many other phrases. And I kind of just ignored it.
Then, I joined a business owner's online book club and we read this book. OMG. I totally get it now. Basically, everything we do needs to be on brand. (Yes, I really was that stupid.)
In order to be our brand, we need to eat, sleep, and breathe our brand. And we need to be telling people about it constantly.
If you're working on building your personal brand or finding your own voice in this online business space, I highly recommend you read this book.
The year was 2017 and freaking everywhere I walked in schools I was seeing bulletin boards and posters about growth mindset. "WTF is that?" I thought. It didn't really sink in for me what growth mindset was until about the year 2021.
Don't get me wrong, I can read a definition, but it didn't really click what it meant until I ran my first online business. I realized, that I didn't have to be perfect all the time for the first time (literally) in my life.
Growing up, I thought I always had to be perfect and do everything perfectly (is anyone else the eldest daughter??). But as I started putting myself out there, oftentimes in my least perfect form, I was still getting results. And I was getting results every day. Why? Because every day I was taking imperfect action. Making imperfect moves that were moving me forward.
I wasn't there, yet. But I would be. And you will be too!

Creating email folders is super easy and it's the easiest way to organize your inbox. I guarantee it is the first thing that someone would do if they were to come in and organize your inbox.
I have folders with subfolders with subfolders. For example, I keep my emails about my collaborations in one folder and emails about taxes, receipts, and accounting in another. It's a super easy way to keep emails you aren't quite ready to get rid of, but also keep your inbox uncluttered.
